As an openly queer person who has predominantly been with women, this project for me was more about combating the negativity I faced when I began seeing my current partner. Boy Kisser was something that one of my close friends called me when I told them I was dating a man and it was something that felt just as targeted and hateful as when I came out as queer. Dealing with people trying to revoke my queerness and people telling me they knew it was a phase, I wanted this project to show the simplicity and tenderness in a relationship, as that should be what matters most.
